Human Physiotherapy

Assessment includes:

  • Detailed subjective history

  • Postural assessment

  • Balance assessment

  • Gait assessment

  • Palpation assessment

  • Range of movement assessment

  • Strength assessment 

Treatment includes:

  • Advice and education 

  • Tailored exercise programme

  • Massage

  • Manual therapy 

Rider Physiotherapy:

  • Specialising in the biomechanics of horse riders

  • Core stability assessment and rehabilitation

  • Rider assessment to help improve horse-rider interaction and performance

  • Joint assessment of  both horse and rider

General human Physiotherapy:​

  • Post-operative support e.g. following hip/knee replacements

  • Musculoskeletal pain

  • Soft tissue injuries e.g. tendon, ligament and muscle strains

  • Returning to sport

  • Support with regaining mobility and strength 

  • Following a period of disuse/ immobilisation 

Rates:

  • Appointment duration: approximately 1 hour HOWEVER allow 2 hours if having assessment of both horse and rider 

  • Initial Assessment (human only): £55

  • Follow Ups (human only): £50

  • Horse and rider assessment: £120 

  • Number of recommended sessions vary depending on assessment findings and reason for referral. This will be discussed with you during initial appointment. 

Mileage Rates

  • Appointments within 10 miles of CF71 will incur no further charges

  • 11-20 miles: £5

  • 21-30 miles: £10

  • 31-40 miles: £15
